What is Pass Plus

Pass Plus is a course developed by the Driving standards Agency. Designed to help a newly qualified driver to:-
|
1) Accelerate the process of gaining experience.
|
2) Gain positive driving skills which includes taking responsibility for their own actions and to realize how their actions may affect others.
|
3) Reduce their risk of accidents.
|
By taking and passing this course a new driver may be able to reduce their insurance premium by up to 30%
|
|
When can the course be taken
|
The course cannot be taken until you have passed your driving test, and must be completed within one year of passing your test.
|
|
What is involved
|
You must take the course with an ADI who is registered with the PASS PLUS scheme (Debdale School of Motoring is a registered PASS PLUS provider). You will be taken for a minimum of six hours. During these times you will cover the following subjects

1) Town Driving
|
2) All weather Driving
|
3) Out of Town driving and Rural roads
|
4) Night Driving
|
5) Dual Carriageway Driving
|
6) Motorway Driving
|
You must satisfy the instructor that you have reached the required standard of competence in all six categories. The instructor will then complete a Training Report For for the DSA who will then issue you a PASS PLUS certificate.
